FAQs
What kind of church is this?
Christ's Church of the Valley is a non-denominational, independent Christian church that's led by leaders from within its own church, not an outside denominational office or headquarters. CCV is loosely associated with a fellowship of over 6,000 similar evangelical churches nationwide called, "Independent Christian Churches," claiming over 1.5 million members in the United States alone. Independent Christian Churches are among the fastest growing churches in the United States. Independent Christian Churches combine their efforts, at different times, to support church planting organizations, cross-cultural missionaries, benevolent associations and over 30 Christian Colleges and Seminaries. CCV is also a member of the Willow Creek Association, a national network of churches similar to CCV in its beliefs and mission.
Why "moviechurch?"
In October 2000, CCV held its first church services at the Regal 24 Cinema in Oaks, PA. The URL "www.moviechurch.com" was chosen to help the community associate the movie theater location with the church. Since then, CCV has been known throughout our community by the name "moviechurch."
Where are all the crosses?
Crosses are an important Christian symbol, but no more important than any other. Christianity's foundation is based on Jesus and his death on the cross, not the cross itself. On the occasions when we talk about the cross and its meaning, we may use one during a Sunday service.
Who's in charge here?
While it may seem like Senior Pastor, Brian Jones, is the only one running things around here because you see him on stage every Sunday, the truth is there's a team of ministry professionals who serve and lead the church with Brian. Check out the staff page to learn more about our ministry staff.

I have questions about giving to CCV. Who do I contact?
CCV's finances are the responsibility of Kevin Stone, Executive Pastor. Questions pertaining to giving or church finances should be directed to Kevin at kevin@moviechurch.com or 610.792.0777 ext. 208.
Being at CCV on Sunday morning is great! Are there other ways I can connect with people?
The best ways to connect with others outside Sunday services are in classes, groups and on volunteer teams. Groups go beyond Sunday, providing a place to connect with others, to build community and to grow spiritually. Volunteer teams make Sunday mornings happen. Some want connections; others want to give back. Whatever the reasons for serving, most find they are impacted in ways they didn't expect. Friendships are formed, people are served and needs are met.
