Group Leader Resources

Leading others is a great privilege and a significant responsibility. As a part of its mission, the Group Life Ministry at CCV seeks to provide group leaders with as many resources as possible. These resources and training videos are designed to provide information to help group leaders feel confident in their ministry and develop skills necessary for leading people. We hope this page provides direction and guidance to keep your group moving in the right direction.

Training

After completing the Leadership Development Process and Basic Training with the Pastor of Group Life, group leaders are typically partnered with a Team Leader who will help guide them into launching a successful group. This Group Leader Resources page is meant to act as an additional guide.

Curriculum

If you are looking for curriculum ideas for your group, we can help! Choosing a curriculum can seem like a daunting task with endless possibilities available. Here are a few things to consider:

  • Ask God to show you what your group needs in order to grow their relationship with Him.
  • Read the recommended CCV curriculum list.
  • See the CCV curriculum library list for all the curriculum available for your use.
  • Check out websites such as Amazon for a list of descriptions and reviews of any studies you are interested in.
  • Ask your respective Team Leader or the Pastor of Group Life to see if they've used the curriculum materials and if they'd recommend them. It's also possible that CCV owns some of the resources you're interested in using, so ask about that as well.
  • After narrowing down your choices to 2-3 options, consider asking your group for their input.
