Missions

One of the ways that CCV helps people become fully devoted followers of Jesus is through short-term international mission trips. There are many reasons for you to consider short-term missions - the opportunity to serve people around the world and to share the message of hope that God loves them, as well as to grow in your own relationship with Jesus.

If you are interested in joining one of our 2013 mission teams or have any questions about missions at CCV, email Dan Reischel, Associate Pastor, at DanR@moviechurch.com

Here are the various international partnerships that we have around the globe and how you can get involved:

Guatemala: Casas Por Cristo

CCV’s work with Casas Por Cristo represents our longest running international partnership, dating back to 2007. In May of 2007, we sent our first ever short-term missions team to build a home for a family in the city of Juarez, Mexico. In 2008, we returned back to and built two homes for two different families (see video below). After a two-year hiatus, we returned to Mexico in March of 2011 and sent our most recent team to work with Casas Por Cristo in Guatemala in July of 2012.

In 2013, CCV will be sending a team to build with Casas Por Cristo:

Haiti: Lifeline Christian Mission

Lifeline Christian Mission has been serving the people in the town of Grand Goave, Haiti (30 miles west of Port Au Prince) for over 30 years. CCV’s first trip to work with Lifeline took place in May of 2010, a few short months after the massive earthquake that devastated what was already the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Lifeline ministers to the town of Grand Goave through education, nutrition programs and several churches they have helped to start throughout the surrounding area. We sent teams to Haiti in May of 2011 and May of 2012. Our most recernt team just returned home after being in Haiti May 6-15, 2013.

Kenya: Christian Missionary Fellowship

CMF International, along with its sister organization Missions of Hope International, works in and around the slums of Nairobi, Kenya, specifically in the Mathare Valley, one of the oldest and largest slums in the world. The “Hope Partnership” (as it's called) works to bring physical, emotional and spiritual transformation to the lives of children and adults alike in the slums. After a scouting trip in February of 2009, CCV’s first full missions team went to work in the Mathare Valley in August of 2010.

Northeast India: Team Expansion

CCV's newest international partnership is through Team Expansion,
partnering to launch a church planting movement in Northeast India.

After a successful scouting trip in January 2012, CCV will continue
to explore how we can partner with the local missionary, Avia, and
reach the entire 1,000,000 unreached people in the area known
locally as "Dawnlight."
