Local Service Group

If you are you interested in spending a couple hours a month volunteering right here in our community, this group is for you. The group will focus specifically on these two opportunities:

 

  • Open Door Ministries is a local Christian-based organization that is committed to providing the resources, encouragement, and insight needed to make families strong! They operate a food pantry, thrift store, and a free tutoring program for school-aged children. The first Saturday of each month, the group will volunteer from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Open Door Ministry Thrift Store location on Main Street in Royersford. Tasks include sorting/hanging donated clothing, bagging food for the pantry, general maintenance of the facility, etc.  This is a great project for volunteers of all ages!

 

  • CCV has partnered with Project Outreach’s Monday Night Meals Project for many years. The program is for residents of Park Springs who have signed up to attend a free parent training class. This group provides support by preparing a hot meal for the participants. Each session generally runs for eight weeks. The group volunteers in Spring City from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
