Valley Kids is the children's ministry of Christ's Church of the Valley and is the place where kids come to learn about God's love and God's promises. Our goal is to make Valley Kids the best hour in every kid's week! Valley Kids' classes are offered Sundays during adult services at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM.

We know a child's spiritual development is as important as their academic, social, and emotional development and has eternal significance. The purpose of Valley Kids is to assist parents in providing a strong spiritual foundation that consists of an understanding of God's word and biblical principles as well as how to apply them to everyday life. By the time kids complete elementary school, our goal is to have nurtured and strengthened their faith to the point where they can independently make wise choices when faced with life's difficult situations.

Babies
Our nursery area is a special place for infants. Specially trained volunteers attend to the physical and emotional needs of babies by holding, singing and playing with them. Through loving volunteers, infants experience God's unique love for them.

Crawlers and Walkers
Crawlers and Walkers classes are designed with movement in mind. These classes are equipped with imaginative play stations and age appropriate toys chosen to foster creative play. Teachers gather children for special Bible stories and music time. During this hour, children hear about God's creations and his love for them.

Rompers and Adventurers (22 - 36 mos.)
Rompers and Adventurers classes are designed for more active children that need freedom to roam. Rompers are free to explore age appropriate centers and are gathered together for an interactive lesson filled with sensory exploration. Adventurers participate in a large group drama time with their preschool friends then return back to an interactive room created for their curious minds.

Discoverers (Preschool)
Preschool age children participate in arrival craft activities connected to a special theme and Bible verse that changes each month. Children join together in a large group and experience fun and interactive dramas created to teach them Bible truths. During this large group time, they also move to the music using instruments, scarves and parachutes. Class is concluded in small groups where children share thoughts about the Bible story and pray together.

Explorers (Kindergarten - 1st Grade)
A high-energy class is what your kindergartener or 1st grader will experience in the Explorers class. Children arrive to special games, crafts and music designed around a planned curriculum. Children participate in a large group lesson that demonstrates how they can live according to what the Bible teaches. Small group leaders conclude each class by helping children apply Bible stories to their lives.

Wired (2nd - 5th Grade)
Older elementary children have unique needs. Knowing this, our approach to programming is to provide a fast-paced, exciting and interactive environment. During the Sunday morning hour, classroom teachers take biblical truths and help children apply them to their lives in a real and meaningful way. Children are then given the opportunity to connect with friends in small groups to discuss life application lessons. In this environment, 2nd - 4th grade children begin to understand they can have a life-changing relationship with Jesus.  

Valley Kids is Safe and Secure

Upon check-in at a registration kiosk, parents receive a two-part nametag. At pick up time, a classroom assistant will match the I.D. number on the parent portion of the tag to the child's nametag. Only parents with a matching I.D. number will be permitted to pick up their child from a classroom. In addition, all Valley Kids' volunteers have successfully completed a background check.

If a child needs their parent during the service, the parent will be notified by text message on their cell phone. At that time, the parent should return to their childs' classroom. A Valley Kids' volunteer will inform the parent of their child's need.

Valley Kids is rapidly growing and we're looking for people who would like to get plugged in; no teaching experience is required! Our volunteers are selected based on their ability and desire to honor God by serving his children. Training is provided to all Valley Kids' volunteers so they are able to provide an awesome children's ministry to the families of Christ's Church of the Valley.
