Children
What:
Valley Kids is the children's ministry of Christ's Church of the Valley, and is the place where kids come to learn about God's love and his promises. Our goal is to make Valley Kids the best hour in every kid's week!
Why:
We know your child's spiritual development is as important as their academic, social, and emotional development and has eternal significance. The purpose of Valley Kids is to assist parents in providing a strong spiritual foundation that consists of an understanding of God's word and Biblical principles, and how to apply them to everyday life. By the time kids complete elementary school, our goal is to have nurtured their faith to the point where it is strong enough that they can independently make wise choices when faced with life's difficult situations.
When:
Valley Kids is offered Sundays during adult services at 9:00, 10:15, and 11:30 am.
How:
Children are taught creative, age-appropriate curriculum. This means that Bible lessons are both developmentally and spiritually appropriate, as well as fun. Children learn that Jesus loves them and wants to be their best friend, as well as how to live a life devoted to him.
Where:
In a Valley Kids class, children are safe, loved and learn about God with the help of our incredible volunteer team.
Who:
Each Sunday, volunteers work together to share God's love with children "just born" through 5th grade. Our volunteers have been selected based on their ability and desire to honor God by serving his children. Training is provided to our Valley Kids' volunteers so that we can provide an awesome children's ministry to the families of Christ's Church of the Valley.

You won't believe what your preschooler learns about God in a setting that is specifically designed to teach them in an enthusiastic and age-appropriate format. Bible lessons and activities encourage kids "to learn by doing" through lively worship songs, crafts, fun games, play centers, hands-on activities, puppets, stories, and prayer time.
Elementary Division
Chipmunks (Kindergarten and 1st grade)
Foxes (2nd and 3rd grade)
Frogs (4th and 5th grade)
Because we believe that learning about God should be fun and not boring, we present Biblical truths to kids in a way that attracts them to God and lets them know about his love. In our large group lesson time we use interactive multi-media, cool games, movement, humor, hip music that honors God (yes, there is good Christian music out there and we found it!), guest presenters, fun trends, drama, and Bible memory verses. In our small groups we get together and talk about what the kids learned and ask questions, share prayer requests and get to know each other better. Valley Kids is also a great place to life-long Christian friendships
Valley Kids is Safe and Secure
Upon sign-in at the registration kiosks, parents receive a two-part nametag. At pick up time, a classroom assistant will match the I.D. number of the nametag to the child's nametag. Only parents with a matching I.D. number will be permitted to pick up their child from a classroom.
If a child needs their parent during the service, the number on the child's nametag will appear on a screen at the front of the auditorium. At that time, the parent should return to their child's classroom. A Valley Kids volunteer will inform the parent of their child's need.
In addition, all Valley Kids' volunteers have successfully completed a background check.
Join the Valley Kids Team!
Valley Kids is rapidly growing and we're looking for people who would like to get plugged into an exciting ministry. No teaching experience is required! We're looking for people who can assist in classrooms.
