Making Jesus the leader and forgiver of your life, and expressing that commitment through baptism, is the most important decision you’ll ever make. Many believe they need to get their life in order before they can be baptized. In reality, it’s the opposite. Baptism is the beginning of life change, not something that happens after we’ve changed.
If you’re ready to be baptized, we invite you to participate in the upcoming service on Sunday, April 19th at 1:00 PM. If you’d like to come and simply observe, you’re invited to do that as well.
Here’s some additional information about baptism services:
- A staff pastor conducts the service, but participants are encouraged to have a spiritual mentor or the person who helped them make this decision baptize them. The only thing we ask is that this person be baptized by immersion.
- Those being baptized typically wear a t-shirt and shorts, or a t-shirt over a bathing suit. Rooms are available for changing before and after services (near the baptistery area).
- Friends and family are invited to attend.
Baptism services are the most meaningful events we have at CCV. They’re joyful celebrations for all those who attend.
