Becoming a Group Leader at CCV

Are you the next CCV Group Leader?

If you are interested in starting and leading a CCV Group, we would love to talk to you.

The ultimate goal of our Group Life Ministry is to fulfill CCV’s mission: To help people become fully devoted followers of Jesus. Connecting everyone into a wide variety of groups enables people to develop friendships and ultimately discipleship partnerships which lead to personal spiritual growth. You can play a role in this process as a Group Leader.

A CCV Group Leader:

  • Is an active member at Christ's Church of the Valley
  • Is a maturing follower of Christ who spends time with God in Bible reading and prayer
  • Is passionate about connecting people to God and to each other
  • Is committed to the mission of CCV’s Group Life Ministry
  • Has completed the CCV Group Leadership Development Process

The CCV Group Leadership Development Process:

  1. Be baptized by immersion, attend the Welcome to CCV Class, and sign the membership covenant to become a member at Christ's Church of the Valley.
  2. Fill out a Ministry Leadership Application and e-mail it to Alyssa Dourte, Pastor of Group Life, at alyssad@moviechurch.com.
  3. Meet with the Pastor of Group Life and complete the necessary Basic Training.
  4. Commit to serving as a Group Leader and to meeting all Group Leader expectations.

As a growing church, we have many amazing opportunities ahead of us. New people are coming through our doors every Sunday and need to connect. Regular attendees need places to make friends, to serve, and to grow. Members need ways to take risks and to be challenged. Are you the next CCV Group Leader? I hope so!
